terrorists don't subscribe to a flag

I've been watching the events unfold after the terror attacks in Mumbai, India and am a bit confused about the anger at the country of Pakistan.

Terrorists don't think of themselves as Pakistani, or Indian, or American. They think of themselves as warriors for a cause...true believers. The Pakistani government didn't engineer the attack and, except for an inability to stop it, can't be considered responsible. The same could be said of the Indian government. People are burning Pakistani flags in protests, but the act has no relevance. The people behind these attacks don't give a damn about flags.

The people behind these attacks have some warped sense of religion that makes it imperative that they kill for God. That sentence in itself, and the truth of it, should be all anyone needs to realize these people don't hold to any traditional logic or value system. They have warped a religion that preaches peace and tolerance into a mandate from God that they kill people whose belief system doesn't mirror their own. That's the philosophy that should be the focus of anger and reprisal. It doesn't have anything to do with flags.
